RinChen Tibetan Terriers' Story:

MiMo at play
RinChen Tibetan Terriers presents our third generation of quality companions. "RinChen" in the Tibetan language means ' treasure, honored or esteemed one, or precious jewel" which is what we seek to create and enjoy with all our Tibetan Terriers.
Tibetan Terriers are in fact, NOT a terrier breed, but guard and herding dogs from the 'roof of the world", Tibet, and are considered to be one of the the most ancient pure breeds of dogs. The larger, Bearded Collies, Polish Lowland Sheepdogs and Hungarian Puli may be descended from this breed via migration out of Central Asia.
They are intelligent, sensitive and always busy thinking. They are watchful and alert without being noisy. Tibetan Terriers needs daily exercise outdoors. The have plenty of energy to romp and play, especially if their owner or a dog companion joins in the fun. Secure fencing, lots of exercise, mental stimulation and companionship will make for a very happy dog and family.
In its natural state, the Tibetan Terrier is a long-haired dog with a weather-resistant double coat that does not shed but does require weekly grooming. Companion dogs are often kept in a short or mid-length haircut.
Our puppies are raised in our home, with love and lots of attention from people of all ages and other pets. Paramount is that they are all placed in loving homes. We strive to maintain a relationship with all of our puppies' families throughout their lives. Here, they have a healthy lifestyle on a large rural farm to play, exercise. and explore. We introduce the puppies to leash walking, and play equipment as soon as they are up and running. All parents have health certifications beyond what is recommended by the Tibetan Terrier Club of America.
There is a Tibetan proverb saying that happiness is being accompanied on one's travels by a dog - may we bring you happiness as you travel through these pages viewing our lovely Tibetan Terrier family.
